Council is inviting community feedback on the Draft Community Strategic Plan, Delivery Program and 2025/26 budget. These key documents outline our refreshed long-term vision, detail how over half a billion dollars will be invested in services and infrastructure, and highlight major capital projects across the city. Your input is vital, have your say by 9am on Wednesday 11 June 2025.

Major Flood Relief Project Begins on Hill Road

A $58.5M project to address flooding on Hill Road and surrounding areas is now underway, funded by the Australian and NSW Governments. Hill Road, the key access route to Wentworth Point, is often closed due to flooding. With Haskoning Australia appointed to lead the 12-month planning phase, this marks a significant step towards minimising disruptions to the community.

Duck River Trail Upgrade Underway

Stage 1 of the Duck River Nature Trail is underway at Silverwater Park, with new paths, lighting, and amenities like bike racks and accessible drinking stations. Eight new trees will be planted, with the upgraded park expected to open in September, weather permitting.
