Temporary Closure of Lake Parramatta Walking Track |
A
section of the Lake Parramatta walking track will be closed between
Monday 1 to Friday 12 September 2025, while Council undertakes urgent
repairs. The staircase and footbridge between Arrunga Bardo Garden and
Arrunga Bardo Lookout will be replaced. |

Step into Nature: Discover the New Water Dragon Way |
A
new sandstone stairway at Water Dragon Way, Winston Hills, provides
safer access to a 2.3km bushwalk which links to the Pemulwuy Loop Track.
Replacing old timber steps, the work also stabilised pathways and
included native planting. Vistors can now enjoy safer access to scenic
views of old-growth forest, and the chance to spot local wildlife. |

Hunts Creek Walking Track Bridges Reopen |
Four
bridges along Hunts Creek Walking Track have reopened after a major
restoration. The upgrades replaced the bridge’s structure and decking
with hardwood and removed more than a tonne of debris. The bushwalk is
now safer and more enjoyable, all the better to spot those water
dragons. |
