Dispose of Household Chemicals Safely

Sunday 7 June

Do you have unwanted household chemicals at home? Bring them to our free Chemical CleanOut and dispose of them safely and responsibly. You can drop off items such as solvents, cleaners, vapes, poisons, and pool, garden and hobby chemicals at our Rydalmere Operations Centre.

Come together for fun and dance at the Library

Plan ahead for the Parramatta Half Marathon

Sunday 21 June

Parramatta will come alive as our city hosts the Parramatta Half Marathon, with up to 8,000 runners expected to take part. To support a safe and successful event, temporary road closures will be in place across the Parramatta CBD, Parramatta Park and the river foreshore.

Epping Library Temporary Closure

To allow for essential building works, Epping Library will be temporarily closed from Thursday 7 May and will reopen on Monday 18 May. Library services will continue to be available at Carlingford Library during this period. We appreciate your patience while these improvements are completed.

Help Shape Parramatta’s Future Services and Infrastructure

Council’s draft Delivery Program 2025–2029, Operational Plan and Budget 2026/27 are now on public exhibition. These plans outline how we will invest in local services and major projects across our city. Share your feedback by 5pm, Wednesday 14 May.

Australia’s next Census is on Tuesday 11 August. The ABS is recruiting Field Officers to deliver letters and forms, answer questions and support data that informs local services. Apply before 18 May for round one.
