Sue Savage Reserve Upgrade Officially Open

Sue Savage Reserve Multigenerational Recreational Facilities are now officially open. Families can now enjoy a BMX pump track, skate park, new amenities and additional parking, creating more opportunities for residents of all ages to stay active and connect.

A New Pathway Under the Lennox Bridge

The Lennox Bridge portal project is now complete, opening a new pathway beneath the heritage-listed bridge. The north and south portals provide improved access for pedestrians and cyclists, making it easier to travel along the river and move through the surrounding area.

Work begins on Civic Link Block 3 this March

Work on Civic Link Block 3 begins in late March, creating a wide green canopy-covered boulevard linking Parramatta Square to the Parramatta River. Plan ahead for stage 1 road closures and changing traffic conditions at Horwood Place and Phillip Street.

Progress on Hunts Creek Bridge

Stage 2 of the Hunts Creek Bridge replacement is now underway, focusing on the eastern side of North Rocks Road. Two‑way traffic will remain open for most of the works, with advance notice provided for any weekend closures or night works. Completion is on track for the end of June.

A New Community Recycling Centre is Coming to Parramatta

A new Community Recycling Centre (CRC) is coming to North Parramatta. This new facility will make it easier to safely dispose of household problem waste that can't go in your regular kerbside bins, such as paint, batteries, gas bottles and fluorescent globes. Stay tuned for the opening date and details on how to use the facility.

We’ve been working on restoring canopy trees along Toongabbie Creek at Alice Watkins Park, bringing back shade, wildlife and a healthier waterway. The creek banks are now thriving with native trees that cool the water, protect banks and support local wildlife.
