Car Parks Go Cashless

Enjoy seamless parking across Justice Precinct, Parramatta Station, and Eat Street car parks as we transition to a fully cashless system from Friday 7 February. Discover a more convenient way to park and explore everything our vibrant City has to offer.

Hunts Creek Bridge Closures and Nightworks

With major construction work underway on North Rocks Road, expect weekend road closures from 9pm to 5am, starting Friday 7 February to Monday 10 February. Lane closures will be effective Monday 17 February to Thursday 17 April due to nightworks program.

Belmore Park Upgrade

Belmore Park is getting a refresh!  Stage 1 works are underway from Friday 31 January to Monday 10 February, with limited public access to some areas of the park during this time. These improvements are part of an exciting project to expand recreational opportunities, supporting our growing community.

City of Parramatta is trialling planter boxes in Centenary Square and Parramatta Square to explore their potential in reducing urban heat. These installations aim to create cooler, greener spaces for everyone to enjoy.

2025 Planting Programs for a
Greener Parramatta

City of Parramatta is planting for a greener future! From March, over 80 advanced trees and 29,000 shrubs will transform the Active Transport Link along the Parramatta Light Rail. Mid-year, Council’s Public Trees Program will bring new trees to suburbs across the region.

In preparation for the new boulevard that will connect the CBD to the Parramatta River, archaeological excavation works for the Civic Link Block 3 project have started along Horwood Place and in front of 32A Phillip Street.
