A better way to recycle is here

Parramatta’s new Community Recycling Centre is now open, making it easier for residents to safely recycle problem waste that doesn’t belong in household bins. Drop off items like batteries, paint, gas bottles and more – free of charge and help protect our environment.

Progress continues on the Hill Road upgrade

Work on the Hill Road upgrade in Wentworth Point to improve flood resilience is progressing, with 100 tonnes of debris cleared from the stormwater system. These works will help shape the next stage of the project ahead of community consultation.

Civic Link Block 3 construction underway

Civic Link will be a new green boulevard designed for walking and cycling, connecting our CBD to the Parramatta River. Construction is now underway on Block 3. As part of these works, sections of Horwood Place and Phillip Street are closed, with temporary changes to on street parking in place.

Calling young musicians: Battle of the Bands

Best of the West: Battle of the Bands is searching for the next generation of local music talent. Open to bands, duos, rappers and solo artists aged 12–24, this is your chance to perform in Parramatta Square and compete for exciting prizes. Apply by Monday 13 April.

Rising Women of Western Sydney Scholarship
