Dear Residents & Supporters,

This Development is Huge - It will affect YOU!

Government Land – Consultation Begins - A Must Read!
  • 8 storey buildings containing 600 dwellings - 1,380 additional people.
  • Crowded into 3.5 hectares of government land.
  • Massive over development – another concrete jungle in the making.
  • 2013 Cherrybrook Station Structure Plan limits building height to 6 storeys, yet Landcom pushed for 8 storeys.
  • Community & Hornsby Shire Council had NO SAY on 8 storey building heights. (Landcom FALSELY disclosed in their fact sheet as having been consulted.)
  • 8 storey buildings set a dangerous precedent for other developers to follow on private land, within the wider precinct.
There is no community benefit – whatsoever!

Have Your Say Now - Don't wait till 6th September 2020 Deadline!

Choose one of Landcom’s feedback forms below:
  • An online feedback form : send your thoughts. No need for survey.
  • An online survey : Encourages residents to provide feedback on how people might use the elements of open space.
I object to high density development on government land because:
  • 8 storey buildings in Cherrybrook is inappropriate and over development.
  • Our leafy & serene suburbs, beautiful landscapes with bountiful blue skylines will be turned into concrete jungles, over populated, congested roads, overcrowded schools/ playing fields, stressed infrastructure and amenities.
  • High density developments destroy great suburbs with negative impacts on existing residents’ quality of life.
  • It sets a dangerous precedent, forcing some existing residents to sell their homes for fear of being blocked out by high rise buildings on government land and eventually, the wider precinct.
If we must accept some form of development on government land, then:
  • It must be appropriate development.
  • Our quality of life must never be compromised.
  • Development on government land must be limited to three storeys - medium density.
  • Development must be in character with the local area.
  • Private land, external to the government land, must retain its low-density zoning.
  • Wholistic infrastructure, roads, schools, playing fields, car parking and all other amenities must be in place before development starts.
Your Entire household over the age of 18 can also have their say!
Local Democracy at work!

This high-density development will be the beginning of the end for the Beauty of our Suburbs!
